THE PROBLEM

Voice research was broken — and everyone knew it.

For decades, telephone interviewing was the gold standard for quantitative research. High response rates. Rich data. Representative samples. But the infrastructure behind it — human call centres, shift scheduling, manual QA — was built for a world that no longer exists.

By the early 2020s, the cracks were visible everywhere. Response rates were declining. Fieldwork costs were rising. Compliance requirements were multiplying. And the tools hadn't changed in twenty years.

Research teams were spending more time managing logistics than doing research. Agencies were watching margins compress to single digits. Enterprise clients were getting slower, more expensive fieldwork — and accepting it because there was no alternative.
